My big present from him this year? (Well, a combination Christmas and Valentine's present.)

Custom-made shoes. That he is designing. So that I will have the ultimate in pointy-toe, bat-decorated gothy-goth shoes. With low heels I can walk in.

I am strongly, strongly tempted to get them in pink & black. But, I realize that I will get more use out of them if they are black-on-black. (I am, however, setting aside the money I made from the freelance editing project so I can save up for a second pair of custom batty shoes, and those will be pink & black. Yes, I am crazy.)

My holiday weekend was good. Mom & Dad, friends, and yummy food (thank you alexiarnps, for holding the shindig at your house, thus saving me from trying to tidy up mine!) made for a lovely time. Now I have to try and focus on work, instead of thinking about bat shoes. (!!!)

I have a pair of discontinued Fluevog court shoes from 1992 that I would love to have remade. They're the ones with the tall yet thinnish louis heel that square out at the bottom and have a gorgeous T-strap. They got left in the car on a hot summer day by accident and it killed the suede and the glue came up off the sole. *cry*

Ahhh to have money for shoes again. Those were definitely the days. heh
