Oh hai migraine with light sensitivity and vertigo, how are you? Weren’t you just here LAST FUCKING WEEK?!

Today has involved pain killers, electrolyte water, Benadryl, and heated buckwheat pillows on my face and shoulders. And naps. I’m starting to come out the other side of this, but DAMN.

In other news, I don’t know if it’s the constant headache or menopause or what, but the skin under my eyes looks awful. My usual moisturizer isn’t making a dent, which means reading up on more skin care is in my future. However, I did just pulthe trigger on some bio-identical progesterone cream I’d been debating, because maybe it’ll help with the skin/mood/sleep/migraine nonsense that’s been happening. Don’t get me wrong, I’m SO EXCITED to be done with a menstrual cycle (hashtag CroneLife), but some of the effects are ones I don’t care for. And since bathing in blood is impractical, I have to do something.

I would like to have productivity back now, please and thank you.

Is the cream a prescription? I’ve just gone off hormone replacement therapy and would be interested to know about it. I’ve googled a bit and see there are prescription and nonprescription creams.

I hope your migraines let up very soon. I live in Illinois and the weather has been triggering my migraines for weerks now. I use imitrex but that has to be taken at the start of one and when it’s one long cycle of mild to severe it’s difficult to know when the start of one is.

I hope you get coverage for the botox. Things like this should be decided by the doctors and not insurance companies.

Yes, Topamax does have issues, I could not take it because of interactions with other medications. The migraines I have are sinus related as well as cluster headaches and always cause light sensitivity and nausea but the Imitrex heads that off as long as I take it soon enough. It has it's share of issues as well, but...it's better than trips to the ER and demerol shots. Ugh. I feel for you.

I will have to search amazon for the bioidentical progesterone cream, it looks like it might help with some of my menopause issues. Hormone replacement was causing my BP to go up and so the doctor and I decided it was time to go off of it. So here's hoping.

heated buckwheat pillows

These are fantastic for Raynaud's syndrome, too.

progesterone

Progesterone is often prescribed for trans women, too, but Dr. Leather Bear had great doubts about its safety and efficacy, especially given my (i.e. our) age. I can't say I've missed it much.

I'm sending healing thoughts right at your head!
