Vespertine Ball is this weekend, yaaay! Time to try on my outfit and decide what skirt to wear with the tailcoat!

Oh wait. That's right, the Infamous BlueJay was meticulous in her research in making this B&W striped tailcoat from a period-accurate antique pattern. The shoulders fit me (I have ridiculously tiny shoulders), but the sleeves are snug enough that I can't raise my arms higher than my waist. This was fine when I originally wore the outfit, but I wasn't the event emcee that time. I need more range of motion to do that.

Thankfully, I have two possible back-up outfits, one a bit more realized than the other. The problem being, of course, I GET ON A TRAIN TO PDX ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

Tomorrow, outfit decisions including if I'm making a black and ivory flower crown. (I probably will, because I do have the right sort of flowers around, plus some ivory feathers if I really want to go crazy.)

Note to Self, and YOU SHOULDN'T NEED TO A NOTE, YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS: in the future, try any event outfit on at least a week in advance.

Goth Problems: a blog in itself.

You bet your booty I tried on my birthday outfit with way more lead time than that, because most of it came from hundreds if not thousands of miles away.

Late but thanks for reminding me to test my wig and horns situation before chistmas.
