Back from my whirlwind trip to Burbank! Spending time with some beloved friends was delightful.
- Doggos! Kitties! K. & D. have two very sweet dogs, and three snuggly kitties. The biggest of the kitties has mastered the kitty doors, so I would occasionally be woken in the middle of the night by a large cat affectionately headbutting me.
- K. and I went to her local Korean spa, and OMG. Not only did they have the pools, not only did they have the steam and dry saunas, but they also had a cold room, and a high-oxygen room. Yes, a cedar-lined room, with extra oxygen continuously pumped in. A high-oxygen room is my new favorite thing.
- DIIIIIIIIISSSNNNEYLAAAAAND. No, I wasn't able to move into the Haunted Mansion (yes, I asked). Also I was VERY DAMN BRAVE and went on Space Mountain. I apparently do that every few years or so, if the friends I'm with are very persuasive? It wasn't as terrifying as previous times, but that's because 1) K. spent the entire time gleefully yelling "Swooping!" at me, because she said I should think of the ride like swooping through the night sky, and 2) D. worked on the sound refurbishment of the ride some time ago, and as such has been on it 400+ times, so he was able to shout what each upcoming swoop was. "Left! Right! Right! Right!" and so on. That did help, but I probably don't need to experience it again for 5 years or so.

OMG SATURDAY IS MY 50TH BIRTHDAY. I have no idea what's happening around it. I am not the person who plans these things, and was very emphatically told not to worry my gothy little head about it. :D

That sounds like a fire hazard that smells really nice.
I once took the son of my mom's college chum on Space Mountain at Disney World. I was eager to go. I didn't find out until weeks later that he's afraid of heights. Oy.
On the one hand, I have a hot date with the Tickler on Saturday night, which is good. On the other, if there's anything happening for your birthday, I can't be there, which is stinky. Have a wonderful birthday because I love you to tiny, black, ornately beautiful pieces.
