The US is a horrifying trash fire, which saps my (everyone's?) motivation to do anything. I'm trying to combat this entropy any way I can.

For the trash fire part: using Resistbot to send letters/faxes, and retweeting useful links and information when I can. It feels like not enough, but I don't know if I can muster the energy to do more.

For the personal part: not only the doggedly sticking with organizing my life (content schedules!), but finally writing up the notes for the two different ... worlds? of connected short stories I want to write. (And need to write, because they are part of the media empire plan.) I'm not going to say anything else about them, because I've learned the hard way that talking about non-GCS writing makes me weirdly adverse to actually doing the writing. ::shrug::

You would think I'd have a visceral sense memory of what the ongoing, creeping muscle tension migraines feel like, but no. Every time it gets close to needing my Botox, I spend a week or so thinking "Ugh, another headache". But I have made my appointment, and get my shots next week. The day before I fly out to spend time with wonderful people!

It pains me to say it, but you're right. I've given what, $300 in political donations in the last couple of weeks? It doesn't feel as good as texting or phone banking, but it may be more effective.

Goddamn it. I don't really have anything more intelligent than that to say about the situation. I'll be seeing the Tickler tonight, and I can't promise that I won't get eyeliner on her boobs again as I freak out about stuff in her arms. It isn't inconceivable that next year's tax refund could get used for another international trip - one way this time.

Things are terrible. They are terrible in the US, they are terrible in the UK, they are terrible in Australia, and they are terrible in Argentina.

I keep hoping that Mueller will take the whole administration down, and we can impeach people.

On the bright side, I didn't know that you could impeach judges until this. And the rest of the Supreme Court does not want him either. So at least we have that.
