By way of someone else's DW post (not tagging because I don't know if they want to be linked to): sovay's review of Jennifer's Body. The review explains just about everything I love about that movie.

Jennifer's Body is one of my all-time favorite horror movies. It's actually even one of my comfort movies, when I need the comfort of remembering RAGE IS OKAY.

The other person's DW post also talked a lot about "Violet" by Hole*, and why it's a great song. Which it is! I consider it to be one of the best ever angry anthems, and have it on a couple of my heavy-rotation playlists. And in reading that, I realized that in addition to a whole bunch of vids for Hannibal, I really, REALLY want a vid to "Violet" for Penny Dreadful about all of the female characters.

* I have strong opinions about Courtney Love. The tl;dr version is that she is responsible for some amazing, powerful music, she really is a terrible person, and I never want to be stuck in a room with her again. [/Seattle 90s flashbacks**]

** For the record, I feel/felt exactly the same about Layne Staley, for almost exactly the same reasons. Or Geoff Tate. Orrrrr a lot of musicians from the various Seattle music scenes of that era.
