A super-frivolous, MY CLICHES, LET ME AGGRESSIVELY TELL YOU ABOUT THEM question:

I have two sterling silver ankh pendants that are reproductions of the one from The Hunger; the bladed ankh with sheath. Yes, they're slightly different designs. One is from Back In The Day in the Seattle goth scene, because one of the guys got into metalsmithing and jewelry design, the other from a guy on Etsy selling off stock his late brother had made.

(You can sense where this is going, can't you?)

There's another jeweler online who has them, in silver, with a design that is subtly different than the two I already have. The catch is different, and there's etched scrollwork on the sheath.

I waaaaaants it. And honestly, $104+shipping is a damn good price for that particular item.

Should I mentally set aside some of the upcoming yard sale profits for it?

MY VAMPIRE CLICHES. LET ME WAVE A BLOOD-SPATTERED NAPKIN AT YOU.

Oh yes. You regret more the things you let slip by. And if it doesn't make you happy and you regret buying it, you can always resell it. Win/win!

I would say YES go for it!

Unrelated....

I haz a question for you while I'm poking around.... I'll be going to a wedding (not mine) in a couple weeks, and I am, at this point, planning on going in full goth mode for the event.

Problem is.....I've put on some weight since the early days, and I've been kinda slumming it. To get a vest or corset or similar that fits my waist, it NOW means adding 10 EXTRA INCHES to the bewbline in something off the rack.

Do you happen to know any shopping sites that *won't* assume I'm carrying a six-pack of (non-existant) shelves along with my chunky-ass waist? :)
