Vampire Masquerade Ball prep!



That vintage beaded and sequined shawl is now sewn on the oxblood/burgundy lace dress. Tonight, add a scattering of matching beads and sequins to the oxblood lace dickie. Tomorrow, make the giant flower crown with faux burgundy calla lilies, and black and burgundy roses.

In other news, my unemployment claim was approved, and I signed and sent my severance paperwork back today. I've been catching up on sleep and enjoying the lowered stress levels.

Oh, right. I hadn't mentioned that the dayjob and I parted ways, had I? Yeah, we did. I'm okay with it. Did I mention the catching up on sleep? And the lowered stress levels?

I have at least two outfits that will suffice for the ball. Which one I wear will depend on whether I want to wear a corset all evening or not, so I'm leaving the choice until Saturday. Although, if I can find a deep red cut velvet or beaded shawl before then that may decide the matter.
