SakuraCon, day one!

I was recognized by around eight GCS readers, which is always nice. There's a pattern to my (peeps? readers? fans?) recognizing me: usually they catch sight of me, they elbow whomever they're with, both of them make big-eyed deer in the headlights faces at me, and when I wave at them they shuffle over, looking a little sheepish. But they're all adorable! And I always ask if they are people who hug, because I like hugging my (whatever the correct term is for them), but I don't want to 1) intrude on anyone's personal space, and 2) freak them out.
But adorable. All of them.
It turns out that Mana's staff has said that NO photography is permitted at the Q&A or autograph sessions, and no one on con staff knew if that was going to apply to the fashion show. Oh well, I'll still get to see Mana in real life, without photoshop filters.
Visiting the Moi-Meme-Moitie booth was eye-opening. The clothes are beautiful (which I suspected), and even smaller-sized than I thought; nothing above a size 2 US. And holy G-D, pricey. Which I pretty much knew, but seeing a leather keychain, stamped with the M-M-M logo in gilt, priced at $65 was still a shock.

And thank you for being a person who asks before hugging. I tend to tense and squeak when people hug without permission and then they get offended and it's not fun
