Remember how I said I was craving all the bangles?

Oh, and a skirt from Kambriel and custom-dyed witchy boots.

Anyway, the current fashion cravings that started at ... the end of January? Something like that. Anyhoodle, waaaaay back in the day, Victorian Trading Company sold a giant velvet bow hair clip with a silk snood/hairnet attached. No, giant. You don't understand:

I. Want. It. Ridiculous? Check. An elaborately overwrought example of "historical" romantic fashion that never actually existed? Check. UTTERLY, UTTERLY RIDICULOUS, NO REALLY? Check.
No, there aren't any on eBay. I am going to be reduced to making my own damn velvet bow(s) and gathered silk chiffon circle snood, and attaching them both to a barrette. Dammit.

-Use the size hairclip that is right for *your* hair.
-make sure the bow is sewn together so it DOES. NOT. MOVE.
-if you are attaching a snood, make sure it is securely sewn to the bottom of your bow, and consider either having it close with elastic or a drawstring because trying to push your hair through a small enclosure is tedious (I have not actually made this mistake but I have been given hairclips that did).
-use the glue gun to attach your bow to the clip, AND heavy thread to sew/bind it to the clip as well. Just glue has trouble holding a heavy bow, as does just thread so use BOTH.
-make sure the fabric you use is cleaned, so it will not bleed onto paler clothing.
I think I got my hair clips at either DSI or Michaels.
