A ridiculous goth nostalgia notion:

I'm kinda-sorta tempted (and by that I mean a lot tempted) to buy a pack of clove cigarettes to use as incense when the Stroppy One is away at shows.

I'm not sure I've ever smelled one. I'm curious.

I admit I have thought about this too. There is, of course, clove incense, but none that I have tried smell enough like cloves--clove cigarettes--to trigger that particular goth-club nostalgia. It's too bad, because cigarette smoke lingers in a way that incense smoke doesn't, and I haven't wanted to risk burning a cigarette in the house!

Does it have to be burning? Clove oil heated in a candle warmer might work. I haven’t tried it yet. Clove and orange at this time of year makes me happy so I make orange and clove pomanders.

There is clove incense! I found it at Traveler last time, but that store's long gone. I do see it on Amazon, which would be a $5 gamble. But I am also interested in another that is cinnamon and clove. Ooh.

Oh, this has come up. Don't mind me. hehehe.
I'd probably drop some clove oil in a wax warmer and call it good just to avoid the tobacco in the air.

I feel you.

HOWEVER, this desire is for NAUGHT as clove cigarettes are actually ILLEGAL to sell in this state now, even on the rez. So... there is nowhere you can buy them conveniently at all.
