cupcake_goth | Quick quick update, probably not very coherent

- I promise that I really WILL write something about the trip to Vienna. Honest. Just not right now.

- The job hunt is starting to pick up. I now have two different companies trying to find me work. (Hurrah for the expiring of a non-compete document! You better believe I'm not signing one of those again if I don't have to ...) Because The Universe is sometimes cranky, I'm betting this sudden flurry of being submitted for jobs is partially due to

staxxy's most recent job flaking out on her. I need to sit down and explain to The Universe that no, really, both she and I can be employed at the same time, and it won't lead to the end of the world.

- I culled my closet(s) again, and am bringing the resulting two bags to the Stitch & Bitch at

alexiarnps' place tonight. Yes, I promise that whatever doesn't get snapped up there will be listed in an entry here.

- The house is a *complete* shambles, and I'm going to be spending a few days trying to do things like, oh, excavate the dining table, the armchair in the living room, and my bedroom floor.

- In case I didn't mention it before, the Gothic Miss Manners site has been updated, thanks to the wondrous

leenerella. More updates will be hopefully occurring soon.

Will some of the closet-culling be prime fodder for the ages old plan of me going as you for Halloween?

I'm beginning to wonder if the outfit I ordered is ever going to ship. Of course, the hat that goes with it shipped today. So I could go as a blend of today (jeans and t-shirt) and 1923 (zoot suit hat), if the rest doesn't show up.

But I think the Jilli idea is a better fallback plan :)

Well, I just got a call from The Place, and the Zoot Suit I ordered was out of stock... but they are shipping a better quality one for the same price.

But, I may stop by tonight anyway. I'm spending way too much time thinking and mulling and hermiting. And maybe Luke has beer...
