- My assorted medications make me SUPER SENSITIVE to sunlight. Like, get woozy after being in bright sunlight for 5 minutes -sensitive.
- I'm using a nighttime skin cream that has Retinol in it, which means daytime sun protection is a MUST.
- As soon as I put sunblock on my face, I start to overheat and feel like my skin can't breath. Yes, this happens with multiple brands of sunblock.

Dammit.

Welp, it's big hats and parasols all the time for me, I guess. Which is not really a hardship, I'm just frustrated with the ongoing shenanigans of my medical issues. When do I get the cool side effects of vampirism, that's what I want to know.

Much sympathy, ugh.

The burning orb is over 101 here, which is bad enough that even Kira has been dissuaded from obsessive Pokemon-hunting until after 9pm.

I overheat so badly (and will absolutely black out and have tachycardia), and it's so frustrating feeling like a delicate Gothic snowflake when you don't WANT to be one :/

Good luck with the eternal life thing! And I'll gladly take your share of Orb rays.

I wish I knew when one got the cool effects of vampirism, as well. I'm happiest when it's cool, dark, and rainy. (And it's supposed to be 85-90 all week.)

*hugs* I know these pains. I know them SO WELL OMG!

My solution is moisturizer from Paula's Choice with SPF followed by BB cream with SPF and then mineral powder. It's a lot of layers, yet it somehow feels more breathable than specifically-sunscreen.

The thing is I used this sunblock last year--last month, even!--with no overheating problem.

I may order some samples of assorted Paula's Choice sunblocks to see what reaction I have to them.

Same - I use Coola moisturizer/sunscreen (the face-specific one) with a light foundation w/SPF and powder & they're all a lot better than just a typical sunscreen. No stickiness or breakouts!

On the bright side, at least you're having this problem when giant black floppy hats are a hot trend in gothy outfits. So many cheap giant floppy black hats to choose from in stores.
