One of the listed warnings for the new med I'm going to be starting?

In hot weather, stay inside in a cool place if possible. Stay out of the sun and do not wear too much or heavy clothing.

Seriously, when do I get the fun parts of vampirism? Do I need to start drinking blood, and then I get the immortality and mind control? I WANT TO KNOW.
