- Halloween weekend was wonderful. There was giving out candy, movie watching, yummy food, socializing, and thrift shopping.

- It's a good thing it was a wonderful weekend, because I am now on the roller coaster of my next work deadline, and it is INSANE. No, really. My job, team, and company are all still wonderful, we're just up against some really ridiculous things right now.

- An Eldergoth fashion rant: where the hell have all the crushed velvet tiered skirts gone? You know, those skirts we all wore in the 90s? I want one in the classic burgundy/wine/oxblood color range, but I can't find one in the thrift stores, and the prices on eBay and Etsy are offensive. Dammit, I'm going to end up having to make one, aren't I?

You think that you are coming over on Friday or for tea? I have a red one that I hardly ever wear.

I just read an article about how Delia*s is probably going to go under soon, and the only thing I could think was well damn, if they just sold everything in their catalog from the '90s, I think me and the people I know would keep them in business. Chunky laced boots, maxi skirts, crushed velvet everywhere. It'd be great.

Keep an eye on the TJ Maxx family -- I saw just this past week a few crushed velvet babydoll dresses that took me back to my baby bat days...I'm sure the skirts won't be far behind!

I destroyed my red one accidentally. (Was it once yours?) You're right that they seem to be scarce. There's no one like you to lead their revival.
