Mermaid skirts. Morticia Addams -type skirts. Skirt that I would wear ::GASP:: without petticoats. (But with jackets and overdresses that covered my bum, because let's face it, there are certain refrains from the Body Image Monsters that I am never, ever going to be able to ignore.)

Long, narrow through the hips and thighs (eeep!), flaring out to fullness (preferably with ruffles) from the knees down. WHICH ONE OF YOU IS USING THE MIND CONTROL RAYS ON ME?

I love those. I limit myself to trumpet skirts though, because I stride when I walk. Mermaid skirts hobble me. It's why most of my pencil skirts are stretchy.

I have a great love for this style of skirt, as well. I made a wonderful version out of stretched crushed velvet some years ago, but ended up selling it. I still have the pattern I made, so now I'm hunting around for more black stretch crushed velvet so I can re-create it. :)

It sounds like a great idea to me - I think you'd be more than able to wear one with fantastic style and your marvelous signature fashion flair.

(just an opinion from this corner of the peanut gallery)

I confess: it's me. I'm getting you back for all the times you used mind control rays on me.
