I have an "avert evil eye" bracelet I got from a Bedouin woman in Egypt this past January. Shortly after I came back, I was accused of bullying someone who works for me (and had been frustrated in her career goals) and I began to wear it near constantly for extra "oomph" in the face of unwarranted asshattery. It all went well with my boss saying I came out of the hearings etc looking like a real professional and the bracelet continues to get regular wear.
