The trick to RIT, I have discovered, is to make sure that whatever garment you're dying is thoroughly soaked with clean water before you immerse it in the dye bath. That way the garment absorbs the dye evenly.
(We will not discuss how long it took me to finally remember that trick.)
No no no, the jacket I'm wearing in the photo isn't the one I showed you! *That* jacket is staying B&W. The jacket in the photo is the one that I think I want to add black batwing appliques across the shoulders.
