Tonight we celebrated our wedding anniversary 3 months early by going and seeing our favorite musical, Wicked

kambriel my darling, the lightweight bustle dress is still one of the best pieces I've bought from you. Elegant! Stunning! Appropriate for summer.
The two leads on this tour were possibly the best I've seen. Their range and control were astonishing. And the stage production just keeps getting more elaborate. Besides my long-standing dream to cosplay Elpheba, I also want to cosplay a random fancy Oz citizen. I could deal with an all-green outfit ...

and i actually thought of you today as i was getting my nails done...instead of polish or gel, i get colored powder acrylics. that way, the color NEVER chips off unless (gods forbid, knock wood) one breaks.
the color i got is black...with multicolored sparklies in it! tiny fine glittering bits that do not get everywhere, and i look all put-together till i have to go get them re-done. :D

How well do powder acrylic nails hold up to repeated immersion/soaking in water? I am a dedicated bath taker / spa goer, and while I want acrylic talons, I'm worried my semi-aquatic lifestyle will cause them to lift easily.

i go every other week to maintain them, and because i'm diabetic and clumsy as f*sk, i don't keep the length outlandishly long. they're at a length that is comfortable to type with, about 1/4 inch longer than my natural nails. the best way for *me* has been to keep them as an overlay on my natural nails, since my own nails are so fragile they *shatter*. (who else could break a nail down to the quick putting her hair in a ponytail, you know? ouch!)
the only *real* drawback is that if you wanted to change colors, you have to go through the whole removal of the nail...but it's good to do that every once in a while anyway. i had to do it twice a year with the regular acrylics, so that isn't really a big deal to me.
i think they would look fabulous on you!

I've never seen Wicked, but am so happy to hear it's an excellent production and that you and Pete had such a great excuse to go see it together. <3
