First, a confession: I don't look at my user info very often. I ... just never think to do so.

But I *did* look at it just now, and my goodness. There are a bunch of people reading this that I don't know. Of course, I'm dreadful with keeping people's multiple names straight, so there's a good chance I do know some of you, but just don't remember your LJ name. But even with that theory in place, there still seems to be a whole swarm of you that I don't know. Which is nifty - hello new people! - but I'm curious.

So! Introduce yourselves! Did you just randomly find me and decided to read my LJ? Are you a friend of a friend? Do I know you, and you're never going to stop teasing me about my poor memory for names?

Hello, I'm Laurel. =D

(This response brought to you by some paranoid imagining. Please ignore me.)

artvixn aka artemis aka foxphile aka Diana

I don't know you well but we've met and hung out on several occasions.

(by the way, check your email!!!!!)

I do not think an alternate dimension where I am capable of pointing fingers at you for having a bad memory exists. ;)

I was thinking about making a similar post, but about people I have added back. With all the name changes, and new people, and everything... well, I am not entirely certain who is who any more. :I

3) Well, my LJ username and actual name *are* one and the same...

From: [identity profile] arian1.livejournal.com

Hi. I'm Arian. I'm an old friend of [livejournal.com profile] kijjohnson. I'm not gothy but I make a good accessory for my love [livejournal.com profile] harunoame when she goes out and about. :)

how's that?

From: [identity profile] loree.livejournal.com

Although I suppose the polite response would be, "Hello, my name is Loree, and we know each other from Mickey's girl game."

From: [identity profile] loree.livejournal.com

My word, you're showing up everywhere... Hello again!

From: [identity profile] arian1.livejournal.com

Ha! I am just that wildly clever, or lucky, or both.

I am a random stranger, lurking! Honest!

Yeah, that's it!

Hi random lurking stranger! Write fic for me! Oh, and let me teach your daughter to swear fealty to a fanged bunny.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

See, I *thought* that was you, but did I do the clever thing and click through to look at your LJ? Nooo, for my common sense has apparently wandered off.

So, hi!

Doofus. Stop being paranoid. How's your head doing? Did the brain-melty meds help with the migraine?

From: [identity profile] la-perkins.livejournal.com

and film the last part so we can all see it.

Also, Hi.

You know me from [livejournal.com profile] domestinatrix & SnB. My new "daughter-like-thing" thinks you're wonderful and that you must be full of much better advice than I am. I read your columns and quote them to my students... to make them think that I'm wise. :-)

I'm a Gwen, a vaguely puckish, goofy head.

But I think you might know that already;)

Right. Because she doesn't already stick her hands on top of her head and say "Hail Clovis!" on a regular basis.

:) :) :)

The drugs work! But they're sort of scary, because they... because I don't like feeling drunk. But the fact that I can get relief from a headache is pretty awesome. I'm thinking I should go have an MRI because I have amazing medical insurance, but I don't want to know, you know?

::beams, wipes away a tear::

I'm so proud. That's my girl.

From: [identity profile] bork.livejournal.com

Meathelmet, under a new name. Because I just couldn't let the journal name 'Bork' remain unclaimed. And, you know, it just *fits* me so!

From: [identity profile] spectralbovine.livejournal.com

I found your name scrawled in a truck stop bathroom stall.

Got it! Thanks!

I guess being an intraweb goddess, you probably do get friended by random people. I hope you are getting good answers.

Though a fellow Seattleite and an admirer of the Gothic Charm School, no, I do not know you personally. I learned of this journal through your comments on a post by [livejournal.com profile] queeniex and thought it would be interesting to see what you write outside of Gothic Charm School.

I'm Rikibeth, online and IRL both. I left a comment for you the other day, explaining that I'd been a fan of your column for a while, but only recently found your LJ through a mention on my RL friend [livejournal.com profile] ashbet's journal.

I have to confess that when I DID find your lj, I took a quick peek through the tags to see if you'd done a writeup of the MCR Black Parade concert, because you mentioned being a fan on the website, and so I wanted to read your review. And I am dead of envy that you got to the meet-and-greet, but terribly disappointed that there was no large-scale writeup! I went to two dates in succession, Nassau Coliseum and Hartford, and my writeups are here (http://rikibeth.livejournal.com/229489.html) and <a href="http://rikibeth.livejournal.com/229828.html>here</a>. But anyway, I just started reading, and I hope I'm not imposing by being here!

Hello, I'm Miranda. I'm a friend of Laurel's. I'm not nearly as gothy as I used to be, but I absolutely adore your journal and your advice column.
