If you have NOT finished reading HP7 (or if you just don't care) don't click the cut tag.

A different take on the epilogue. One that works really well, and is fabulously, subtly creepy.
Me, I liked the epilogue, because I am a sucker for "... and life went on ..." sorts of endings. But I also like this strange fic-let thing that I linked to.

Narcissa & Lily are parallel characters, & it could be argued that N. takes an even braver stand by sneaking around under Voldemort's nose to protect her son instead of simply standing in the way one time.
Without Narcissa protecting Draco, Voldemort couldn't have been destroyed. That's crucial in the end, or Harry can't get the job done. That helps redeem the Malfoys.
The Weasleys make a crack against Draco's kid, & Harry's son is afraid to be in Slytherin, but Harry doesn't say anything ill against Malfoy or Slytherin. He knows they're not all bad, & prob. not just bec. of Snape. He saved Draco & the other dude's (Crabbe? Goyle?) life even.
Eh, sorry, I could go on for ever. I've got post-Potter syndrome, & I can't talk about it at home yet bec. T. hasn't read the book ;-)
