Christmas was wonderful. How could it not be, since it involved spending time with the people I love and eating tasty (and very bad for me!) food? I hope that your holidays (or winter) were just as good to you.

I very cleverly took this week off for vacation, and of course have eight squillion things I want or should do. (Writing, updating websites, sewing, all that sort of thing.) Instead, apparently, I am letting my sleep schedule drift back to its natural state of going to bed around 1:30-2AM, getting up after 10:30AM, and then sitting around in my jammies drinking tea until noon-ish. (Why yes, I am in my jammies right now, and am thinking about brewing another pot of tea.) Going back to the office next week is going to be a rude shock.

... that's about it, really. Nothing terribly exciting going on in PrincessMoonbeamLand. This relaxation thing is pretty nice.

We are vacation twins (except that I drink coffee). I swore I was going to bed "earlier" last night. I made it to bed at 1:15.

I'm right there with you on the slacking. I've read three out of the four books I got at Powell's the other day. I've started work on what will be corsets made from the wedding gown skirt you sold me. I've written my packing list for Burning Man. I just logged into Second Life for the first time. I'm a regular dynamo of circumflatulation.

I've been fighting against the usual de-evolving tendencies. In bed by midnight, up at 9A today, dressed and ready to go by 10:30. Have accomplished dim sum, IKEA, and a wrist strain. Oops. There's much to be said for lounging around in jammies and drinking tea - it's much safer.

Thank goodness it's only a four-day week. Have to ease back into this "work" thing slowly.

I am kicking myself for not taking the week off.

that's pretty much my natural schedule too. Which was why managing a cinema worked so nively as an occupation.
