It dawned on me some of you might not know what I mean when I say "batwing hem jacket". It's a princess-seamed, mandarin-collar button up jacket, with a hem that has multiple curves ending in points.
These were once my wardrobe staple, and then I expanded out of them. The Madwoman just showed me the in-progress black & silver one. It's just above calf-height, and has extra gores for even more fullness. "It's more than a full circle!" said the Madwoman in gleeful tones. "18 points around the hem!" Needless to say, I am DELIGHTED by this news. And the fuchsia one is going to match in over-the-top -ness.
