Fingers crossed I can actually get some writing done this weekend.
BUT TODAY I am going out with min, because G-DDAMIT WE CAN.
I am slowly, sloooooowly starting to read some new-to-me books, not just fic. In other words, I'm trying to dig into the teetering pile of vintage gothic romances that I've accumulated over the past few years, instead of just looking at the cover art and going "Bweeee!". Sadly, the one I read this week (Pandora by Pamela Kaufman) was a mess. Incoherent, rambly, not enough lurid sections or spooky cult stuff as was mentioned in the back cover and inside blurbs, and casual early 70s racism and "There there, little lady, you're just hysterical from attending those bad feminist consciousness meetings". I had such high hopes for it, too.
