I woke up around 11:30 Saturday morning, and the Stroppy One immediately showed me videos of the cheers from NYC., L.A., and Seattle. I spent the rest of the day between fighting a migraine and reblogging Gritty memes (I am now a fan of the big chaos muppet).

I also posted this on Twitter and FB:

The Republicans want to be treated kindly and with respect? Then they need to DO THE WORK. Ongoing work to repair the damage they've done. Respect and forgiveness are EARNED. And even then, no one has to respect or forgive their abusers. Ever.

You voted Republican? Now get out there and help/donate to homeless shelters. Queer charities. Black Lives Matter. Any org. devoted to the people you hurt. Your hate and disregard needs to be repaired on a person-by-person level. DO THE WORK.

The FB post brought out two right-wing crazies. I politely clue-batted one, then the second one showed up with full-on "Stop reading fake news! Tr*mp saved this country!" and whack-ass memes. Other people stepped in and happily fact smacked them and treated them as chew toys.

The FB post also brought out a breathtakingly crazy Libertarian; the type I honestly didn't think existed. Wow was I wrong. When my friends started fact smacking them, the crazy person straight-up said "I'm not going to read those links you posted, because I'm sure they're wrong".  That's when I started giggling and happily blocked them.

Biden & Harris aren't perfect. But they're willing to listen and learn, and they believe in things like FACTS and SCIENCE.
