Thank you, everyone, for your kind words and sympathy.

Mom didn't want a funeral. Dad and I will let people know when we (and the people who are acting as our external brains) have organized the memorial gathering..

My Dad and I are ... well, we're coping as best we can. Which means we're getting on with doing what needs to be done, and occasionally staring off into space or getting teary-eyed. I am trying to settle back into the routine of my usual life (dayjob, writing, and so on), because that's going to be what helps me the most right now. But I apologize in advance for being more scattered than usual.
