Wonderfalls, sleep-dep, and Shallow Fashion Details

Wonderfalls premiers tonight. This review explains why you should watch it far better than I could.

Last night was the second night in a row of insomnia. We Are Not Amused, not a little bit. However, the evening before going home & to bed was lovely. I ran into the_monkey_king on the bus home, which meant pleasant company and charming conversation. The rest of the evening was spent hanging out with alexiarnps and imflying, having dinner and playing with hair. Not only did I get my roots touched up and my bangs trimmed properly, but now I have a whole bunch of shiny burgundy streaks in my hair.

For not having gotten a lot of sleep over the past few days, I apparently look good (my office roommate, a nice middle-aged lady, said so).

Shallow Fashion Details!

• pointy-toe suede flats that lace up with black satin ribbon


• b&w stripy stockings


• lace-trimmed black mermaid-ish skirt (straight front, half circle in the back gathered below the knees)


• white high-collar blouse w/ lace trim and a white satin scarf tied in a bow at the neckline


• black mandarin-collared jacket w/ batwing hem (Best. Jacket. Ever, thanks to bluejay23)


• hair worn down (to show off the pretty new streaks) under the usual top hat


• the usual makeup, but my wire-frame diamond-shape glasses instead of contacts

I have discovered that it is easier and quicker to draw on my eyebrows if I shave the outer half of them off. I was letting them grow back in, and made the disheartening discovery that the natural shape of my eyebrows is uneven. Bah. No, alexiarnps, I'm still not quite ready to shave them off entirely.


stroppy_baggage, in addition to driving me to work later today so I could get as much sleep as possible, went to the grocery store and picked me up a cranberry-orange walnut muffin. Mmmmmm, muffin.
