Halloween costumes for iPods

Yes, I know. Very silly. But look! A vampire costume!

...

Look, I know ALL of you are rolling your eyes at me. I can sense these things.

Sound of jaw dropping

Only rolling in the sense of I am SO in the wrong biz if I can get people to pay $40 to costume their ipod! Pet costumes at ridiculous prices I understand. This just boggles my tiny mind! LOL! Brilliant marketing.

I know, I know!

(I just need to figure out what stickers can be placed on the iPod that remove easily w/o leaving a sticky residue. Once I know that, I just might make my own version of the vampire costume. Because I *can*.

I'm guessing anything that clings to glass, like those decorative "cling" things for Halloween, Easter, etc. They also have a film that covers the screen of your PDA that works on the same principal.

Those tape flags also work the same--I use a couple of the opaque-ish ends to create a "paper" writing surface on the Graffitti area of my Palm Pilot. You can write on that stuff...

Also, heavier Saran Wrap might work as well--the good-quality stuff that clings really well to glass bowls.

Colorforms, as well, would work, but they'd probably fall off on their own easier than anything else.

Hey, I had no interest in owning an iPod mini till I saw the cat costume for it.

Hope you didn't think I was being rude. :0 ) My assumption is static cling will keep a clear film on the screen. The stuff they use to cover display screens to keep them from scratching in transit. Hey...I bet someone in product packaging/design at the EE could tell you where to get it. :0 ) The new Ipods would fit in many of the standard coffin candy boxes. Finally looked at one in person last night. SO tiny!

Too. Damn. Silly. And I'm not rolling my eyes at you. I'm shaking my head at the people who made those.

Wow, that's even too nuts for *me* ;-)

I want the witch costume, and I don't even OWN an iPod! ([livejournal.com profile] hendersj does and would laugh himself senseless at this and then try to buy the Frankenstein's Creature suit for it while trying to keep me from finding out about it.)

I did not roll my eyes. I clicked and giggled. GIGGLED.

Wow. I can't believe people are actually making money off that because other people would be gullible enough to pay that.

heh heh

Yes, my reaction was "Oh jesus christ you've GOT to be kidding me"

;)

Silly as heck, but cute.

Alas, nothing for Nano, however. Orson shall have to go out for Halloween as the big black tower thing in 2001 or something.

I refuse to believe that it is for real.

Hi Prnscmoonbeam

Thank you for posting about our products in your journal, and I am glad to hear that you are interested in finding out how to make the costumes yourself.

If you are really interested, drop me an email. And sign-up for the site, you will be surprised to find some fun stuff coming up on the site.

Btw, have you downloaded the FREE Paperdolls? They are an economical way to dress up the iPod.

Sincerely,

{jo}
