While working on finding the floor of the Storage Heap Room o' Doom, I made a startling discovery.

Besides the three issues of Carpe Noctem magazine, that is.

And besides the stack of Xxxenophile cards that were tucked in the pocket of my leather jacket (the one that I never wear anymore, but am never getting rid of because it has a drawing of the Sandman on the back, which was indeed sketched on there and signed by Neil Gaiman, long long ago).

... a box of assorted bundles of Venice lace trim. The heavy, wide stuff from Cheeptrims. 5 different sealed bags of it, so something along the lines of 70 or more yards of 3.5" to 9" wide trims. All I can figure is that when one of my orders from Cheeptrims turned up, I carefully put the box upstairs, and then was promptly distracted by something else. That, or The Universe is trying to make me feel better about being responsible and working on chores today. Either way, hey! Lots of new lace trim to put on things! I think I'll spend part of tonight sewing some onto a petticoat.

Ah, lace!

I just made a Venetian chemise last week that took about 12 yards of lace for infill along all the seams. It went together very quickly, and was lovely and cool out under the blazing sun - it was amazing how much a such a tiny amount of ventilation helped. . . One of my Ren friends did refer to it as "prissy", but what the hey.

Much joy of your discovery!
