Late last week I was contacted by a literary agent (not mine). He was asking for a quote for a new gothic art book. I was a little skeptical after I read that first paragraph, because I have been contacted for such things before, and they're usually ... well, either not a real project, or a project that displays its ignorance of the gothic aesthetic and subculture.
I stopped reading and did some fast Googling. Not only is the agent and literary agency respectable, but the author has a solid resume of other art books. Okay then. I went back to reading the email to discover that the agent and let me know who else had provided a quote: David J. of Bauhaus.
So yeah. I just sent off my quote. The book (looking at people who have totally transformed their homes to match their personal dark aesthetics) is gorgeous.
DAVID J. OF OH MY G-D BAUHAUS.
