I went on one of my periodic, generally fruitless, searches for one of my One True Garments. Long ago, ChicStar made a fantastic velveteen long skirted waistcoat. I bought multiples. But now, thanks to the pandemic (and possibly some other things), nothing in my stockpile fits me.
But lo! A random seller on Etsy had ONE in the size I need, and I snapped it up.
Seriously, this thing is PERFECT. A good weight to drape properly over skirts. Shawl collar. POCKETS. Once we get settled in the new house, I'm going to ask the Madwoman in the (new!) attic to duplicate it. But for now, one is on the way to me.
