Next week I get my Botox shots, yay! I made the appointment in April, but because my neurologist is currently the only one in her practice (the other neurologist is on sabbatical), mid-June was still the earliest she could see me. I'm getting my shots almost 4 weeks later than I should, and hoo-boy, the delay became obvious very quickly. I've lost a lot of time & productivity over the past 2 weeks, because the lowest the pain has been is around a 5, but is mostly hovering around 7-8. So yeah, not getting a lot done.
I'm actually really nervous about this round of shots, because it's the first time I'm getting them from a neurologist, not my fabulous dentist. Getting them from the neurologist means they're covered by insurance, thank G-D, but it also means I'll be going through the full protocol, which I've never done. Fabulous dentist gave me 6 injections - base of my skull, my temples, my jaw - and the full protocol is shoulders, neck, base of skull, a line over the curve of the ears, and forehead. I'm dubious about the forehead ones (that's not where I have a lot of pain), but I'm also not sure if I can ask for the protocol to be altered.

I'm waiting for vendor permissions for a contract job I've picked up, and have been waiting for 2 weeks. I checked in with my agency rep (again) yesterday, and the reply she sent me was "We have been regularly checking in with Contractor Hub and they are working on budget approvals. I’m expecting an update for this position by end of the week". Which freaked me right the fuck out, because BUDGET APPROVALS? I called her, because that sort of wording makes me worry that the position is in danger of being unapproved. My rep told me that while such reversals happen, they're extremely rare and she doesn't think that's what's going on here. But she also said she'll contact the company for clarification on what they mean by budget approvals and let me know as soon as she has an answer. Yay, more stress?
