Dither

Writing. I should be doing writing.

Oooh, but Polyvore is a lovely distraction. See?

Of course, that stack of Gothic & Lolita bibles right there next to me is also calling to me.

Or I could finally decide to try reading book one of Vampirates. Because really, when else am I going to feel loopy and silly enough to read a book called Vampirates?

(I swear that if I do succumb to the lure of Vampirates, I will post a full review. Consider that a promise or a threat, whichever makes you feel better.)

Aaaand I still want a cupcake. ::sighs forlornly, back of hand limply pressed to forehead::

Vampirates is appartley pretty good, according to my younger cousin. I suppose how wrong can you go with Vampire and Pirates *giggles*

Well, so far Vampirates is not keeping me very interested. I'm not quite halfway through, so I suppose I could just keep going.

Bummer. Good thing you're feeling better then :)

I don't know if it's worth your time. It's not doing a good job of holding my attention, that's for certain.

I find the notion of a vampire circus faaaaaaar more appealing. I think I have had my fill of vampires AND pirates for a while. Vampirates fill me with a great sense of doom. But vampires with circus? That could be appealing if done right.

I know that there is a YA series called Cirque du Freak that has a vampire circus. I haven't read them because one of the main ... plot points? Characters? Is a giant psychic spider. Me and my arachnophobia will be right over here, avoiding any giant psychic spiders, thanks.

Vampirates is not holding my attention, I fear. And I say this as someone who likes vampires, pirates, and YA books. But it's just not working for me.

Anita Blake has a vampire circus in one of the earlier books, Cirus of the Damned, I think. It's early enough in that series that it's more than just sex scenes.

Giant psychic spiders? Well, at least it's more origional than giant alien spiders. I may have to sniff this one out.

That Polyvore set is REALLY creepy, in my opinion.

Thank you!

(I mean that sincerely. I was aiming for pretty with a heavy dollop of creepy.)

Feel better soon!

Kinda in the same boat, but with a mild headcold. :(

I hope you feel better. =/ One of my friends read Vampirates, and said it was actually really boring. So maybe G&L Bibles? XD

I have a copy of Vampirates that I picked up from a bargain rack ages ago. I haven't been brave enough to read it yet.

Okay, that's it. I am so joining Polyvore.
