Stuff, things, and safety pins.
- Thanks for all the input about the deathrock safety pin blazer idea, folks! I spent last night with the seam ripper and safety pins, and I think the jacket turned out splendidly. I am thinking of wearing it to Mourning Market on Sunday.
- Which leads me to my next point: Seattle people! Go to Mourning Market on Sunday! 12 - 5 PM at Motor, 1950 1st Ave S. Support your local alternative craftspeople!
- Last night, while the Stroppy One was working on a project and I was putting safety pins in a blazer, we watched The Vampire's Assistant. I was very pleasantly surprised by it! A far better movie than I had expected, and my only real quibble with it is also the reason I haven't read the Circ du Freak series: ZOMG GIANT SPIDER, DO NOT WANT, THANKS. Yes, the movie version of Octa was bright red and blue and a bit cartoonish. Still moved like a damn spider, and that's a big part of my phobia right there. Let's just say there were sections of the movie where I shrieked, hid behind
clovisdvlbunny, and waited for the Stroppy One to tell me when it was safe to look at the screen again. Hi, I'm a goth and I'm terrified of spiders.
- PSA for Aromaleigh users: the Voile and Glissade foundations are being discontinued, as are Pure Cover and Pure Rouge. Argh! I am consoling myself with the knowledge that mineral makeup doesn't ever go bad, and so have made an order to stock up on my precious Alabaster Glissade (with an extra jar of Ghost, just to be safe). And on my next Aromaleigh order, I need to stock up on the Bleeding Poppy and Skeleton Key shades from the limited edition Victoria's Revenge line.
Okay, time to finish my second pot of tea, edit some more docs, and then go play with makeup.

I was not sure if the Octa would be an issue for you or not. Alas. But I did enjoy the movie a great deal. :)
CURSES about the makeup. ARGH!!! and me without money to pick up any.

Sorry for that, but just the irony of a Goth being afraid of spiders!
They're not my favourite either, but in most cases stomping on/smashing them with a shoe or newspaper does the trick. Or the good old vacuum cleaner. I'm currently living in a peaceful co-existence with a daddy long-legs. I just remind it from time to time that as soon as it crosses my face it will be undone.
Nevertheless, I'm incredibly glad that there aren't any big spiders around here, no tarantulas and stuff. When my sister did an au-pair year in Gilroy, California she once had an encounter with a tarantula sitting next to the t-shirt she was about to grab. *shudder* That would make me shriek aswell. o_O And then I'd kill it with a shoe and the moist cracking sound of the body bursting open would be one of the most satisfying sounds to me.

Buh? Are they being replaced with other foundations? I love the Voile -- it's what I wear every day!

I so wish I could also go to the Mourning Market! I honestly think it is worth a trip to Seattle just to go. Have fun!

I've heard that Walt Disney was afraid of mice, so... don't worry? :3
Hee hee heee!
We all have our quirks!

Argh indeed! I love my Glissade foundation so I guess I need to stock up. Is she replacing it with a new line?
BTW I bought some Infernal Chaos eyeshadow on your rec and I love it. Bleeding Poppy may be next. AND I've been looking on nail sites for a good black nail polish. I haven't had this much fun with my make up in ages and I blame it all on you--well, you and Plei.
