A favor?
Hey, peoples who have the book? If you could go post a review on Amazon.com, that would be a Very Helpful Thing, and I would be very grateful. (A big thank you to
djeternadarkne who posted the first review!)

Hey, look at the new LJ icon
staxxy made for me, from the photos that
its_crabbapple took! (there's a clicky-link in there!)

EDITED TO ADD: Further proof for the I guess I am a cliché and/or a cartoon character theory: while deciding what I am packing for the book tour, I picked up a piece of jewelry and said "Oh right, I have to wash the stage blood of this."

Okay, I admit it. I want a better shot of Clovus. Whom I hope is going to be there!

Recently I was at a table gabbing with our HR folks, and telling them how much publicity is NOT JUST BUILT IN to one's book contract. I gave you as an example of someone who was preparing promotional feats of derring-do -- and they were all AMAZED that I knew ye! They wanted to know all about you, and I explained how you were looking for another position... and don't'cha know, they started networking on your behalf? Holla to the goth-friendly tech world. Three of the four had seen your interview on Channel 9, and all of them had been impressed -- and more importantly, they remembered you.
You're going to go far, lady... and I'm very impressed. Good work, and I'll try to get the book out of the Kid's hands long enough to write a good review. :-)

Psst, wave your copy under the nose of those co-workers. We're working hard to get the message out to non-Goths that the book is worth their time.

Need to go back and try that out I think.
I want to get some actual specific shots of Clovus. So I may likely be turning up at the Bellevue reading...
