State of the Cupcake Goth, in a scattershot manner

This week has been one long case of sleep deprivation. Which means I've kind of been in a "can't brain" state all week, and wow is that not helpful for getting writing done. At least now that the weather has decided to just go ahead and rain, I no longer want to drill holes in my head to see if that would help with the sinus headaches.

Good grief, the next handful of weeks are busy! This weekend, pix_kristin is visiting, yay! Next weekend, it's stroppy_baggage's birthday! The weekend after that, the Vampire Ball in PDX! Then there's the Jill Tracy CD release party on April 1st (which tolkiencub is kindly escorting me to. On his birthday. This is one of the many reasons why he is the best stunt husband ever.), and then April 8 & 9 is another trip to PDX to see TWO MCR shows in a row. (Yes, I'm going to both. You can roll your eyes at me all you want, I don't care. Wheeeee!)

Along with all of that is a lot of writing I need to do, stroppy_baggage working on a tight deadline, and oh, did I mention a mad scramble of stuff at work? Yeah. I may be kind of scarce for a bit.

One of my dreams last night was about me sitting in a meeting discussing color swatches and packaging mock-ups for a limited edition GCS line from MAC. Ha! I would love for that dream to come true (come on, you have to admit a "snarkling" lipstick would be FANTASTIC), but I'm not going to hold my breath until it does.

In Things I Really Should Be Aware Of news: it's a simple 5-minute bus ride to get from my office to a local thrift store. This is dangerous information for me to have.

Maybe you could talk to BPAL about making a line of perfumed oils based on you, the Lady of Manners, and the things you write about. They did it for Neil Gaiman, why not you?

In my fantasy of this MAC GCS deal, they make three color process series of deep red lipsticks: "Jillian" (M/magenta based), "Miss Alexia" (Y/orange based), and "JengElana" (C/blue based).

Exactly! And there would be two different eyeshadow quads: one with white, pink, black, and smokey burgundy, and one with ivory, black, a golden peach color, and an earthen brick color.

Plus shimmer highlighting powders, liquid liners in black and pink, and a blot powder compact that has the GCS swirly bat embossed into the powder.

Best makeup line evahh!

Have you seen the Paloma Picasso makeup line? There's one red that comes in lipstick (scented of roses, not like rose perfume, but as if you had a big fresh bouquet in front of your mouth), lip liner, and nail polish, plus one nice light shade of foundation and powder, a black eyeliner and mascara, and i can't remember if there's also some eyeshadow.
