Let the culling begin!
Without even tackling the upstairs storage room heap o' doom, I have filled one large-ish box with shoes & boots that I'm going to be selling. If they are painful to wear for long stretches of time I will not wear them, no matter how darling and fabulous they are. Not even the wonderful raspberry suede granny boots with the kitten heels. They. must. GO!
I also went through all the book cases in the living room, and now have three full grocery bags of books that will be going to Half-Price Books. After, that is, I conquer the storage heap, because I know that there are more books lurking under the mounds of petticoats, skirts, and fabric. When
stroppy_baggage tackled the basement, we ended up lugging six bags and one box there. I don't *think* we'll match that this time, but who can tell? For all I know, the various game books that have been upstairs for years have spawned or something.
alexiarnps, when did we want to hold the Gothy Yard Sale? I can't remember if we picked a date or not.
I am not looking forward to the next few days. Sure, I'll have that righteous glow of accomplishment when I finally do unearth the floor in my storage room, but getting to that point is going to be long, tiring, and swelteringly hot. Oh, and if all of you could send "No spiders!" thoughts my way this weekend, I would muchly appreciate it. So would
stroppy_baggage, as I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be startled from his work deadlines by me shrieking and flailing my way out of the room ...

Is it possible I could get in on that?

(If, IF I can get things unpacked so that I can *start* the culling, I hope to have one at our place in September some time.)

With regards to the books, any chance I could look them over before you dispose of them? I'm always watching for more books, and you seem to have good taste in them.

...would you consider trading for them???? I make stuff y'know!!!

::sighs, thinks about the super-cute OldeSkool Fluevog flats that will never, ever fit::
I might be up for selling off/trading long distance, why yes. ; )

What size?
Seriously, my inner shoe-addict just perked up. I have had to retire a whole bunch of ultra-nice dress shoes (like my Ferragamos), because my feet changed shape after the arrival of Little Miss. They're all wrapped up, waiting to be swapped or consigned.
I did just find some black suede, pointy-toed, leather cut-work decorated mules at Value Village, so I should be happy. . .

Re: What size?
If you have 8's that are too tight, they might fit me - I'm in the 7.5 range. And I'm sure you have other cool stuff, too. : ) I'm always on the lookout for costume-y things these days.

I'm hoping that you'll let us know when the sale's going to be. I'm in desperate need of some shoes. <grin>

... which will probably equal more shoes and corsets, but that is the great Circle Of Life for the Gothic Wardrobe, and who am I to question that?
