Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I have two, actually. The first is completely obvious to anyone who even vaguely knows me: The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The second? It's not even a holiday movie. But when I was ten, my Mom was in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy. The night that Dad and I decorated the tree, I got to stay up WAY past my bedtime. We had the TV on for company, and the late-night movie was Arsenic and Old Lace. I adored it. I wanted to grow up to be one of the aunts. And so, forever more, that is a Holiday Movie for me.

Nightmare and Addam's Family are mine. :)

The Ref is one of my favorite holiday themed movies though.

Me too for The Ref

Ohh, Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my favorites. I was a latchkey kid waayy back in the 1970s and there was a local channel that played classic movies at 3:30 every weekday. I got hooked on them after that. I discovered I Married a Witch with Veronica Lake the same way:)

Great choices!

Augh! I somehow forgot about Nightmare when I answered this. But then, I tend to watch that one any time of year, not really just at Christmas.

It's been waaay too long since I've seen Arsenic. Must remedy that.

And, you're on your way there, I think, except with a good grasp on reality.
