More deathrock fashion cravings
Either I'm really, really suggestible about fashion (which I don't think is the case), or I'm flouncing further into deathrock Victorian -land. Because I'm craving a motorcycle-styled jacket. Something in a mid-to-heavy-weight black cotton twill (maybe with some stretch to it), about waist-length, fitted and NOT boxy (as in, different than how all of us wore our motorcycle jackets in the 80s), and with the big lapels, snaps, and zippers.
I'd wear it over ruffly blouses and fluffy skirts, of course. And with my hair pulled up with floofy lace hair ties.
But can I find precisely what I'm looking for? Not for under $75 so far. Lip Service makes a couple of jackets that are almost exactly what I want, but are out my budget at the moment.* I think next weekend, I need to hit Ross/TJ Maxx/Goodwill, and see what I find.
*Yes, I have been muttering about having another closet culling sale. Sorting that out was obviously postponed while I was sickly.

I STILL wear my boxy leather motorcycle jacket, thankyouverymuch. 1" band buttons all over it, and the skinny Disney trading pins of Jack and Sally. I've been wearing it and adding to the pins for almost 20 years now (most of the pins are the last 5 years though). And I just got my kid a similar one, explaining that it was the last winter jacket I was ever going to buy for her, because look mine's lasted 20 years.
Yes, I'm wearing it in the icon.

a couple of years ago.
Huh. You're right.
My boxy leather motorcycle jacket is a beloved, precious relic (as it has an autographed sketch of The Sandman that Neil Gaiman did on it for me over 15 years ago), but it is just that: boxy. Nope, I need a fitted twill one, too.
