Stuff! Things!

The signing on Saturday at Comics Dungeon was very low-key, probably in part due to the torrential rain that happened that day. But it was still a lot of fun, and I got to meet some nifty people.

The Mourning Market on Sunday was amazing. So many vendors I had never heard of before! So many pretty things I wanted to buy! Oh dear oh dear. I finally gave into temptation and purchased a hat I had been coveting from Noxenlux (clicky-link!), because really, a mini tricorn in b&w skull fabric will got with a LOT of my wardrobe. No, I am not being sarcastic.

There is talk of turning the Mourning Market into a quarterly event, and I very much hope that happens. It was lovely to browse the tables and catch up with people.

Tomorrow is turning into Crazy Media Day for me. I just got scheduled for an interview with a newspaper that is doing a "30 Years of Goth" article. Tomorrow evening, I'm going to hang out with the Seattle Geekly folks to record part of a Goth-themed podcast they're putting together. And then, I'm staying up all night, because I am doing a radio interview with The Menage on 1150 KKNW. A MORNING interview. I need to be at the studio at 6:20 IN THE MORNING.. Why yes, my sleep schedule has slid back to nocturnal, which is why I'm just going to stay up all night and go to the interview.

(They also will be a live webcast during this. I will be sure to get the URL, just in case any of you folks want to watch the hijinks.)

I would love for the Mourning Market to me made quarterly. I got a catnip stuffed eyeball for the roommate's cats, and they were pleased with my offering.

I just have two points of feedback - it was way too hot inside, and the music was way too loud.

Yes, the music was far, far too loud. I also thought it was overly warm, but just assumed that was due to my running around in layers and layers of frills.

I had to completely strip down to my sparkly Wild West Ranch t-shirt.

I foolishly wore my thick leather trenchcoat. I thought I'd roast alive! But it was still fun.

Good luck with all the interviews!! I'll keep a lookout for the link!!

I had sort of assumed you already HAD that hat (or a very similar one).

As for me, we found a cash machine after we supposedly "left," and returned so that I could end up with this (http://noxenlux.livejournal.com/551523.html#cutid1), which I had longed for from the moment I first saw it. It'll go nicely with that skirt. ;)

And yeah, agreed with [livejournal.com profile] bork. I'll likely expound on my gripes in my own journal. But it was so lovely to see everyone, including you.

I didn't have THAT hat. I have a different one from Carlee.

Oooh, the hat you purchased will go very nicely with that skirt! Photos! You must take photos when you wear them together!

The time change due to my being in London may actually work toward my advantage, and allow me to watch your webcast!

Ah! Say "hi" to Matt and Shannon for me, please.

I think the music was at a good level.. it was the live band that was a bit loud..

Warm yes, but I was all lace so didn't notice it as much.

I'm glad you got that hat :D I know you'll enjoy it loads :D

Oh, please do post the URL for the webcast. We (Us?) East Coasters will be able to enjoy it from our desks :)

Wow you've been very busy. Please post pictures when you wear your new hat. I look forward to the webcast.

Hi LOVE! I have an idea for a next book topic for you to write and I'm about to burst from it. Normally, I would just stuff the idea down and force it to die. But this one just won't and it keeps rearing its ugly head in my general direction. Don't want to give anything away in public, but if you are interested, email me.
