Oooh, furniture!

I spent part of last night browsing the IKEA website. They have three-drawer chests in PINK! (clicky-link!) Guess what I want for organizing the storage room? (I also want the pink and red chest of drawers (clicky-link!))

My eventual goal for the storage room is to transform it into office/crafting space: have a small desk up there, and one of the sewing machines. (And, I suspect, some sort of air conditioner, because the upstairs gets unpleasantly hot in the summer. Dammit, now I have to research small air conditioners or fans.)

During the Great Clearing Out, I found many vintage gloves. Some pairs, but mostly single gloves. So now I need to dig out my other box of mis-matched gloves (I know where it is; on a shelf in the bedroom), and see if I've found the mates to any of them. And then I might make myself another pair of embroidered fingerless gloves ...

I have the mamut chest (in pink!), and lemme tellya, that sucker is heavy! And solid, once it's assembled. I can park over 300 pounds of stuff on it, and it doesn't even notice. Ivar, it ain't.

Depending on the assortment of odds you're working with, you could "marry" two lonely gloves with something in common...I do this all the time with earrings.

The Malm (first chest) is also quite durable. I <3 IKEA!
