Self-trepanation sounds REALLY attractive right now
Guess who was woken up by a horrible sinus migraine?
Guess who is thinking longingly of drilling a hole in her head to let the sinus demons escape?
I am hoping that lots of tea and meds will make my head stop hurting. Because I have plans for today, and they don't involve clutching my head and whimpering.

Me! Err, wait...
I've taken to using a neti pot every morning, which doesn't really get into the sinuses but at least clears the gunk away from where they drain. Usually this plus a hot shower brings a normal headache down to background levels.
On the nausea-inducing migraine days, though, I just lie in bed until it goes away enough to get up - can't sleep, but pretty much anything else just makes things worse.

In my most stern teacherly voice, I will tell the universe to "back off" and to "leave my friends alone"!

Start over: I have an herb also known as "strongback" that is indicated for muscle aches and, interestingly, treating hepatitis (as opposed to pissing one's liver off) in some countries. We have a bucket full and made a tincture, and I thought, what the hell, I have a migraine, it's not like it's going to feel worse.
Eureka! It does wonders for migraines, and you are welcome to some to see if it works for you.
