Today's thing to covet

(And thank you to Miss [livejournal.com profile] pennydreadful for pointing me at this!)

Pink vodka! (oooh, a clicky link!)

Vodka infused with rose, violet, and wild strawberry. So not just a pretty color, but targeted directly at my fondness for floral-flavored alcohol. Oh my.

According to the company Web page, the only places that currently carry it are in California. And neither of the stores that sell online will ship spirits to Washington. (Wine, sure. They'll ship wine. But not vodka.)

I neeeeeds a bottle. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get my lace-gloved hands on one?

(Pink, floral vodka! Must have!)

Oh my, that would be PERFECT for my friend's famous Pink Drinks!

if you know somebody in California, dear, have them receive it and then ship it to you...

Shaker's has been making a pink rose-flavored vodka (http://www.shakersvodka.com/main/shakers_rose.html) for a few years now - maybe Cassiepants can get you some?
If you want to do a compare & contrast, I can receive the Pinky.

I think I need this as well.

Have I let you taste my creme de violette?

The name is execrable, but the color and packaging are divine! I'm sure one bottle won't be enough. Don't you hate our state's archaic laws? I can't get those yumptious booze-filled Ethel M candies here either.

I'm going to San Francisco October 20th for the weekend... if you can find a store there that sells it, and direct me to it, I can try to bring some home with me. :)

Of course, we might have some problems with the whole stupid airplanes stuff.. but I'll see if I can get it home somehow. My co-workers brought home the Russian Vodka... so it should work.

If you send your address to cherryheavy at hellokitty dot com, I will send you a little bottle of the rose liquere that I made a while back. It's hardcore! (Made with high quality rose tea and rose petals)

Yum. That does seem to have your name on it. Even the design of the bottle, from the colors to the script, looks like it belongs on your desk, on your vanity, in your wardrobe, and on your website as well as in your liquor cabinet. And it sounds very tasty. Similarly, I'm always searching for linden-infused vodka to go with my linden obsession. I don't understand why it's such a production to get such things, or why the State cares.

Roses and strawberries in my favorite alcohol. ^_^ Mmm...Sadly, Tenessee is the same, problem wise, as Washington. I don't think even wine can be shipped. *grumbles*

For you, pink vodka. For me, snobby beer with plenty of malt, please.

I'm totally with you on this one. I must at least try this. I just must!!

Oh, my. Liquor lust ensues. I'll drop a line to a friend who may be able to help.

Pink vodka! I think I need that too.

So I pinged the Liquour Control people and they said...

It is possible to Special Order this product by the case on a Special Order basis. Special Order Request forms can be found at any state liquor store. Also, you may ask the liquor store manager if they would be willing to Special Order this product and sell it from the store shelves by the bottle. There is a criteria that store managers much follow and it is up to each liquor store manager as to what they Special Order for their stores based on that criteria.

I have just located the supplier for P.I.N.K. vodka and will be placing my first order with the supplier. So this product does not appear in our Special Order Alpha Product list at this time and cannot be found in any of the state liquor stores yet.

If you have questions regarding Special Orders please do not hesitate contacting me.

Have a wonderful day.

I have an old college buddy in CA that's willing to help us out, if anyone's interested.
