A birthday + fandom thing I keep forgetting to mention.
As many of you know, for my 50th The Husband and friends got together to give me one big present: in 2019, I get to go on a guided tour of the zoo AND meet my patronus, a red panda! Which, OMG RED PANDAS!
The fandom part: to pull this off, The Husband created a FB event that I wasn't part of, privately told some non FB peeps, and had another friend do the PayPal wrangling so there was no chance of my finding out. My card included a list of people who contributed. Including Abigail Hobbs. With an email address The Husband doesn't recognize.
MY PRECIOUS MURDER BABY SOMEHOW BECAME REAL AND CONTRIBUTED TO MY BIRTHDAY RED PANDA. I have been giggling about this off and on since I read the card.
However, if I get a holiday gift basket from H. Lecter, I'll be a little wary about any snacks. But I'll send a very polite thank you note.
