Within Temptation?! I love them. Ironically, I was listening to "Jillian" on the way home. But as mentioned above, definitely recommend their albums "The Silent Force" and "The Heart of Everything". Sharon den Adel's voice is pretty isn't it?

Some other bands: Epica, The Sins of Thy Beloved, Theatre of Tragedy, Nightwish (but nothing after "Once" it's not the same without Tarja).

Oooh, I should go through my collection of symphonic/gothic/doom metal and see if there's anything else that might interest you. ^_^
