If I manage to get it together enough to decorate *sigh*, I'm going to hang a pine garland on the fireplace mantel and put my ornaments on that. When I've done it before, it's been a good way to make the entire room look holiday-ish without having the cat/ornament issue.

Speaking of which, I'm threatening to some year have a tree with the bottom two feet all cat toys instead of ornaments.
